As we slowly ease into 2023, we are taking time to pause, reflect, and refocus.
2022 was such a big year for us! We launched phoenix™, and we won an award for it while still in beta. We touched half of the United States and even went international with a footprint in Canada. Yet, we burned out in waves and struggled to maintain pace while caring for ourselves.
This January, we took the time to rest because we wanted to practice what we preach, but we also wanted to look inward to ensure that our goal and focus remain what we set out to do in 2021: make insurance a more welcoming place.
We’ve paused and reflected, and here’s what we found:
- We want to lean more into our community – we love what we’re building, and we want to focus our efforts on education and conversation there.
- We want to create more access – education, resources, and connections seem so simple in a digital world, yet even as we grow, we’re encountering roadblocks – it can be more straightforward.
- We want to remove barriers – sometimes barriers exist because they have existed for a long time, and sometimes we don’t even know they’re a barrier. We’re listening and working with great companies and resources to start chipping away at the ones we see.
You’ll see less on social media and more from us at events. You’ll see content geared towards creating equity and sharing the burden – even paying it forward.
We are still on our journey in many ways, and we’re grateful for the people around us that support us, hold us accountable, and create with us.
