We Prioritize People, Not Profits

Insure Equality is a non-profit tech company committed to creating cultural change within the insurance industry by amplifying the voices that are typically excluded or minimized.

Our Story

After speaking with people across the country, we found that insurance company culture does not prioritize people. Instead, we keep hearing stories of people removed from accounts, shuffled to new territories or departments, silenced with NDAs, or outright leaving the industry. Every time this happens - and yes, even when it seems as minor as avoiding someone to "limit" possible scenarios - it reinforces the feeling of not being valued. Our stories are not singular incidents that we need to brush under the rug. They happen every day, to people of all different backgrounds, even in the most subtle ways. It is time to not just "be aware" of the issues.

Insure Equality exists to call on the industry for action, not just words. We plan to hold companies accountable through a public rater, national pledge, shared dialogue of genuine experiences, actionable research, and much more. Culpability will come from the employees and consumers themselves, not through PR campaigns. Learn more about our rater by clicking here.

We are also partnering with Human Resources and diversity, equity, and inclusion partnership programs for those who want to make simple and, yes, dare we say, even profitable changes to their company culture. Insure Equality is here to help companies do a deep dive into their culture and reprioritize people. Learn more about the certification process by clicking here.

It is also essential to take a moment and talk about how we are not perfect as well. We do our best to self-reflect, educate ourselves, make changes when necessary, and hold each other accountable. We will falter, as all of us do. It's how you learn and evolve that counts. We also want to be clear to immediate cynics out there: we are not "cancel culture." Insure Equality is not here to place blame or inflict damage. Instead, we support the entities and people that successfully instill an open and inclusive culture in the workplace. We want to shine a light on what works well and move forward using positive approaches. Read more about our process through our blogs by clicking here.

Our goal is to foster a love for people, not just profits. We want to reward the parts of the industry that are displaying this love to the world. Together, we aim to change the tide in insurance. But we cannot do it without your help. Subscribe today to learn about more opportunities to get involved.

If you believe in the right to work in an environment that prioritizes its people, you are already on your way to helping build change. It will take the power of all of us together. Click here to donate and help us keep going.

We created multiple ways for you to get involved. We encourage you to explore your different options as an individual or as a company.

Our Logo

Our rainbow and multi-racial logo reminds us that people come in every shape, size, color, orientation, and presentation. This logo is also a reminder that February and June are not the only months that deserve recognition for groups of people. We are rainbow and multi-racial every day of the year. We prioritize people, not profit.
